Mostly people think that The Punjab School is a project of The Punjab Group of Colleges. This is not but a misconception. The Punjab School System is a private educational venture of The Makkah Foundation, whose founders started the school system with an intention of providing quality education to the children of indigent and lower middle class at an affordable expense. The Punjab School System – Having five purpose built campuses and completely centralised – is said to be financially independent and a non profit organization.
The Punjab School System is targeted especially for the mediocre for whom it is an uphill task to afford the outrageous educational expense. The parents who look for the average standard private English medium educational institutes with quite a pocket friendly fee structure prefer schools such as The Punjab School System. The institute has an over all prestigious repute among other schools in Lahore,as far as the academic record history is concerned. The manager human resource of The Punjab School System – Mr. Ahmed Jibran proudly told Bachpan Ke Din that The Punjab School has a consistent record of winning at least two distinctions in the SSC Examination every year from 2004 till 2011. The academic excellence has added to the school repute among those who lead their children towards matriculation – SSC examination.

However there are a few areas where The Punjab School seems to lack. For instance, stress upon English as medium of instruction.
Discipline conditions seem to be a bit compromised as it is evident from the video launched by the senior school students. In the video, it is clearly seen that the students are openly cheating each other’s work during school exam while the video is made by one of the students who must have become successful to take along his mobile phone in the examination hall.
It raises several questions. Perhaps there was nobody to monitor the exam conduction. Or may be the students are too clever to take along the mobile phones even inspite of all the disciplinary measures. Drawing conclusions is open to your imagination.
However, just one video footage can’t be enough to base judgements upon. The Punjab School still has its name emerging all because of the academic records made by its students. The school is also known for participating in inter school competitions and extra curricular activities such as sports, debates, dramatics and others.
